A male dog wears the size that measures 6 inches longer than his "waist." For example, if your dog's waist is 15" around, he would wear a cummerbund that is 21" long, which is a size medium. That would allow at least 5" for the napkin, the ends of the band to overlap and Velcro to attach. If your dog is 18" around, he would need a 24" cummberbund, or a size large.
