Neena Pellegrini had a urinary problem. Not personally — her male bichon frise kept marking Pellegrini’s female dogs. She decided that doggie diapers would thwart the mishaps; after an unsuccessful search for boy varieties, she fashioned her own using a Poise pad to do the dirty work. The undies were such a success that she set about to make a girly version with designer fabric and lace, a la Frederick’s of Hollywood. The clever pants are also ideal for incontinent pets, female dogs in heat and prevention of accidents while traveling. ...

Oops, I whizzed my pants
Some dogs can't help it, and some dogs just don't get it. In either case, you can find salvation for your urinary-challenged pooch with doggie diapers — or as designer Neena Pellegrini discreetly calls them, “pants for dogs.” Pellegrini is a Seattle Times desk editor who, it turns out, makes and sells these pull-ons and cummerbunds in her spare time.
There are other types of doggie diapers on the market, but these are strong enough to withstand a naughty escape-artist terrier who, try as he might, can't get the things off.
